What is a Professional Tax Receipt?

The Professional Tax Receipt is proof of payment of the professional tax to the province where they practice profession.

Professionals exclusively employed in government are exempted from paying the professional tax.

How often do I need to get a Professional Tax Receipt?

Get a Professional Tax Receipt before engaging in professional employment.

Renew your Professional Tax Receipt every January. Penalties are applicable when PTR is renewed later than January 31.

How much is a Professional Tax Receipt?

As a Filipino Environmental Planner, I paid P300.00 for the professional tax receipt. This is the maximum amount of professional tax per the Local Government Code.

How to get a Professional Tax Receipt from the Quezon City Hall

  1. Bring your PRC ID and latest Professional Tax Receipt (original or photocopy).
  2. If an authorized representative, additional requirements are authorization letter and photocopy of representative’s ID.
  3. Proceed to the Miscellaneous Fees and Other Charges Office.

Per a posting at the Quezon City Hall, to pay for your Professional Tax Receipt online, you can send an email to the Quezon City Treasurer’s Office at cto@quezoncity.gov.ph.

Prepare your PRC ID and latest original Professional Tax Receipt.
