Good urban planning removes exposure, decreases vulnerability, and increases capacity against hazards.
On May 2022, I spoke at a talk of the Caraga State University entitled “๐๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ง๐: ๐พ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ฝ๐ช๐๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐จ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฎ & ๐๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ช๐ก๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ.”
I highlighted avenues how good urban planning can help reduce disaster risks.
