Summary
As part of my master’s thesis project, I conducted research on the solid waste management system of Malolos City, Philippines.
Main Challenges
- I was on a research thesis grant, with limited funds. To complete the research project, I did all the surveys and interviews myself.
What was unique about the experience?
- The then-Vice Mayor of the City of Malolos was heading the solid waste management task force. Because of the interest in solid waste management, I was able to access ample information easily.
- The study was the basis for a international paper on solid waste management.
